Just putting a simple reminder out there for all you ladies: You're beautiful and perfect just the way you are! Don't let the enemy get you down. The thoughts that rule your mind, telling you that you will never measure up are LIES. The world wants you to believe that there is a perfect model you have to look like, and if you don't look like that, you're worthless. It'll tell you that you have to be a certain weight, have perfect hair, and a flawless face, but that's simply not true. To Christ, you are beautiful just the way you are. Your natural self, the part of you you try so desperately to hide, is gorgeous! Don't be afraid to show the world who you are.
"You are altogether beautiful, my darling. There is NO flaw in you." Song of Solomon 4:7
It doesn't matter what you've done or what you've been through, when Christ looks at you, He sees beauty. He sees pure perfection. So guess what? It doesn't matter what the voices tell you. It doesn't matter what that one guy thinks of you. And let me say this loud at clear: Your worth does not come from your appearance. Everyone has a bad self-image at some point in their life. You're not going to look the same in twenty years, but to the right people it won't matter. Find your worth and identity in Christ alone, and you will find freedom from the constant pressure to fit in and look a certain way. You were created exactly the way you were for a reason! Don't look to people for acceptance because it will never be enough. And remember, your true beauty comes from the heart.
"Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight." 1 Peter 3:3-4
Focus on your inner beauty, and it will be reflected outwards! The most beautiful people don't always have a perfect body, but they do have an inner beauty and joy that is contagious. Just think about this: would you rather be around someone who's really attractive but is mean to the people around them, or be around someone who can make you smile and is filled with love and kindness? This is true beauty, and it's something that everyone will appreciate about you. Don't be afraid to share your heart with the world because the world could really use some more kindness and love. I'm going to say it one more time: You're beautiful!
